Standalone Nodes

Meshtastic Standalone Nodes are built to work entirely on their own—no phone, app, or external device required. They can send and receive messages directly, keeping you connected to the mesh network without relying on Android or iOS apps.

This independence makes them a smart choice for future-proofing. Phone apps and operating systems are constantly changing, and an update (or lack of one) could leave your phone unable to connect. A standalone node avoids that risk entirely.

Because they don’t have to maintain a phone connection, these nodes can run for much longer on a single charge, far outlasting a typical phone battery. In emergency situations or extended outdoor use, that extra runtime can be crucial.
